What information do we collect? How do we use it? - When you download a demonstration file, we collect your name and e-mail address as a minimum. For our more advanced software, we also collect your mailing address and telephone number. This allows us to contact you with important installation information, tips and tricks, follow-up information and support. You must accept these terms and conditions before downloading our demonstration software. A checkbox is provided on the download form to indicate acceptance; When you submit customer feedback, we also ask for your e-mail address so we may provide you with a response when necessary, although we do not display customer e-mail addresses for public viewing on our feedback pages; We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the Web site, new services, and special offers we think you'll find valuable. If you would rather not receive this information, please use our inquiry form on our Contact Us page, select "other", provide your contact info and we will remove your email from our mailing list within 1-business day.
How does MindWorks protect customer information? - When you place orders or access your account information, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access. What about "cookies”? - A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. MindWorks only maintains the Microsoft IIS "session cookie." A session cookie does not hold any user data. It is used only as a linkage mechanism to allow you to navigate around our site.
Will MindWorks disclose the information it collects to outside parties? – MindWorks will only release account information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to (i) comply with law, (ii) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements or (iii) protect the rights, property or safety of MindWorks, MindWorks staff and/or any MindWorks customers.
